With around fifty permanent residents, Barotul has become a small place with big heart. The center of the place is a little port where every evening, small boats start their short trips over Pašman Channel in order to return with some cuttlefish or squid.
At the time of very low tides, when the red moon rises over the land, the sea withdraws into its chambers and leaves us space to freely drift off to the nearby Barotul Island in order to cull Pašman messengers of springa and very familiar asparagus of Barotul.
Zadar archipelago is kept by a large number of islands. Pašman is one of them. It is situated only a few kilometers from the mainland and yet so close to the treasures of Kornati.
