„Saint Anthony, who you are in the channel, give happiness to every sailor.“
Neviđane loves its seaman, father and grandfather, a husband who has not been home for a long time during the past. Therefore, woman would have sang and danced round in his honour, and tradition has continued until nowadays. The port is full of boats and crafts waiting for their turn to prance in front of their precious place.
The elderly will proudly say that it is hard to leave Neviđane. Someone says it is due to the beauty of the sandy beach, others say it is due to the clean sea, home-made food, one of the four churches, but elderly say otherwise.
Nevidane suffered from the plague three hundred years ago. They were calling it Ždraka, and today we know it was an evil, that according to the legend, yelled on one winter night: "In two, in two". However, one resident responded, "In four, in four", so, for the praise of God, at each Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and Epiphany, Neviđane residents celebrate Neviđane Koliada protected by the trademark of Croatian intangible heritage. It is a custom of priceless wealth and the greatest pride of each Neviđane resident.
